Kaiser Delivery for September

We delivered 128 general baby hats along with 10 premie hats,  2 sweaters, and 15 chemo hats on 9/4. This was an especially fun delivery as we saw a new father on his way to pick up his wife and son and offered him a hat! He was thrilled!! Also, the nurses said they were down to 5 hats and were hoping I’d show up with more!! As always they were super appreciative!!

 

July Delivery

We delivered 122 baby hats

of which 15 were for the NICU babies, two sweater sets, and 6 baby blankets to Kaiser Walnut Creek on 7/31/22. As always, the nurses were thrilled to receive our donations!

One of our members is now accessorizing some of the baby hats....so cute.

4th of July hats and more

 

Our group delivered a total of 188 hats, (38 4th of July and 1 sweater, 10 premie, 15 chemo, and 3 sweaters) to some thrilled Kaiser Walnut Creek nurses on 6/26/22.  We were able to deliver directly to the maternity ward and the nurses couldn’t have been more excited to receive them.  One nurse said how blessed they were to have a group like ours to donate so many beautiful hats for the newborns and another said to be sure to thank all of the donors. They are so grateful!

Knit and Lunch

 

Our San Ramon knitting group, started in 2011, had a fun filled farewell luncheon honoring 2 of our original knitters, Ann Cygielman and Jan Barnes. They are moving to 2 different states. We are glad they’ll be able to still join us on Zoom. We knit for various charities.

While lunching and knitting we spotted a darling family and offered their adorable son a hat. This picture will explain how he felt about receiving it. The only member of the family (Donald the French bulldog) was missing when the photo was taken.

Just Before Easter

 We delivered another large donation of hats, sweaters, and a blanket to Kaiser Walnut Creek, and Dublin on 4/14/22 including:

150 baby hats (40 Easter themed)

10 premie hats

3 sweaters

15 chemo hats for

15 Chemo hats for Dublin Kaiser

St Patrick's Day Delivery and more

 

March 12, 2022 was an especially fun Kaiser hat delivery date as we were able to deliver the hats almost in person without going through a security guard.  One of the nurses stepped out into the hallway to retrieve them and told me how thrilled they are to receive all the donations and how much the patients enjoy our wonderful gifts.  She told me specifically to pass on thanks and appreciation to all who have donated.

We donated 162 general baby hats, 42
St. Patrick’s Day hats, 15 adult chemo hats plus another 23 adult chemo hats to John Muir Oncology.

Hugh Delivery to Kaiser

We delivered a HUGE number of baby hats and sweaters including 270 general hats, 70 Valentine’s hats, 9 premie hats, and 5 sweaters to Kaiser Walnut Creek on 2/6/22. The nurses were thrilled to receive them. In addition to the baby hats, we also delivered 19 chemo hats to John Muir Oncology department. One of the patients was so thrilled that she asked if she could have a second one!!
