 We delivered another large donation of hats, sweaters, and a blanket to Kaiser Walnut Creek, and Dublin on 4/14/22 including:

150 baby hats (40 Easter themed)

10 premie hats

3 sweaters

15 chemo hats for 

Kaiser Walnut Creek

15 Chemo hats for Dublin Kaiser

St Patrick's Day Delivery and more

 

March 12, 2022 was an especially fun Kaiser hat delivery date as we were able to deliver the hats almost in person without going through a security guard.  One of the nurses stepped out into the hallway to retrieve them and told me how thrilled they are to receive all the donations and how much the patients enjoy our wonderful gifts.  She told me specifically to pass on thanks and appreciation to all who have donated.

We donated 162 general baby hats, 42
St. Patrick’s Day hats, 15 adult chemo hats plus another 23 adult chemo hats to John Muir Oncology.

Hugh Delivery to Kaiser

We delivered a HUGE number of baby hats and sweaters including 270 general hats, 70 Valentine’s hats, 9 premie hats, and 5 sweaters to Kaiser Walnut Creek on 2/6/22. The nurses were thrilled to receive them. In addition to the baby hats, we also delivered 19 chemo hats to John Muir Oncology department. One of the patients was so thrilled that she asked if she could have a second one!!

Donated Chemo Hats

 

We donated 18 Chemo hats to the John Muir Oncology department on 1/19/22 after discovering through Buy Nothing, Danville that there was a great need. The recipients were grateful to us for the donation.

Assisted Living Donations

 We delivered 35 adult hats and 15 scarves on 12/10/21  made by the Karing knitters to an Assisted Living Facility supported by a local Women’s Club. The director was very appreciative as they like to keep their patients warm when they take them on outings during the winter months.

End of the year donations

 

We donated 115 hand knitted scarves and hats today. They will be distributed to newcomers and families in the Hayward area. A big shoutout to all the knitters who so generously contributed to our donation to the Hayward USD Parent Resource Center today: Ann Cygielman, Harriet Skelly, Lina Teferi, Rita F. Weikal, Elizabeth Kamath, Amy Kopple, Angela Apple, Nancy Liskewicz, Jan McKean Barnes, Peggy Fleming. Thanks to Yuliana Wiser-León for directing us to this worthwhile cause!

77 hats for Kaiser

 We delivered a variety of adorable Fall and general baby hats to Kaiser Walnut Creek on 11/23/21, right in time for the new baby’s’ first Thanksgiving. Due to the Pandemic, we had to leave the 77 hats with the volunteer coordinator to bring to the maternity ward.

We’re sure the nurses were delighted to receive our beautiful hats to distribute to the new babies
