On January 2, 2017, Ann, one of the Karing Knitters, told us the
sad news that her friend was going to have to undergo chemo and asked if we
would be interested in donating chemo hats. We gave her 3 to take to the
oncology center and may knit more in the future.
AWC members Mary Ann, and Sandi who also contribute to the
Karing Knitters' charities, knitted baby hats for the Kempel quintuplets, 3
boys and 2 girls born at Kaiser Walnut Creek on 1/11/18. We also
donated two larger hats for the older sisters, 18 months, and 3 years old. 
We also donated an additional 32 general baby hats to some very
happy maternity nurses.
