We delivered a total of 110 hats to Kaiser Walnut Creek
on 12/15/19 which included 15 chemo, 15 Chanukah, 55 Christmas, and the rest
generic hats. The most exciting part about the donations is that a new set of
grandparents were waiting to meet their twin grandsons and they selected one
Chanukah hat and one Christmas hat since the boys will celebrate both religious
holidays!

Our final Delivery of the year
Our final deliveries of the season including hats and scarves to St Anthony's in SF today totaled 421! They were very appreciative of our large donation and we know these hand knitted pieces will be given to those in need! Thanks to Harriet Skelly, Rita Weikal, Ann Cygielman, Nancy Liskewicz and some knitters from the Alamo Women's Club who contributed but weren't able to.join us today. Thanks to everyone!
Twice a month,Eden Church in Hayward,
distributes food to low income recipients. All food comes from the Alameda
County Food Bank and many of these people rely on this donation to feed their
families.
Today, we distributed 63 hats to the adults who
came for food. 17 extra hats will be distributed to people
who attend an English class at the church.
All recipients were very appreciative and enjoyed
choosing the perfect hat. It was fun meeting the people face to face
and seeing the joy and excitement of getting a nice warm hat! It made us
feel good, too!
